Creators of new shores
- Designed to supply offshore wind parks with parts, a base port of 92 hectares is under construction on the banks of the Elbe River at Cuxhaven, Germany. The world’s largest dredger vessel, Cristóbal Colón, sucks sand into its hold, flushing it out on land through a floating pipeline: more than 60,000 cubic meters a day.

Munich starts using first MAN hybrid city bus
- The Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG—Munich Transportation Company) has put the first MAN Lion’s City Hybrid into service. MAN’s new hybrid bus consumes up to 30 less fuel than a conventional city bus, which translates into a CO2 reduction of up to 30 percent.
